## About

Garden of Even™ shares little-known truths about women we think we know well, and some we should know better. Each woman is the subject of an original artwork, a story page that reinterprets her history, and prints or jewelry inspired by her.

Founder: Kadie Philp, storyteller and international speaker. Over twenty years she has worked in more than 100 cities across 30 countries, advising leaders and institutions through social, political and economic transition. She is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, and her work has been featured in the Financial Times and The Globe and Mail.

## The women

Each page tells the woman's story, explains the symbolism in her Garden of Even™ artwork, and links to her framed print.

- Eve: the first woman, reimagined as a seeker of knowledge rather than the cause of the fall. https://gardenofeven.com/pages/eve
- Mother Mary: reclaimed as a revolutionary visionary. https://gardenofeven.com/pages/mother-mary
- Mary Magdalene: a disciple of Jesus and the first witness to the resurrection, not a repentant prostitute. https://gardenofeven.com/pages/mary-magdalene
- Jezebel: a Phoenician princess and queen raised in a goddess tradition, not the villain of legend. https://gardenofeven.com/pages/jezebel
- Lot's Wife: the woman who looked back, reconsidered as an act of compassion. https://gardenofeven.com/pages/lots-wife
- Ruth and Naomi: two women finding agency within a system that gave them little. https://gardenofeven.com/pages/ruth-and-naomi
- Queen of Sheba: a sovereign ruler of power, wisdom and independence. https://gardenofeven.com/pages/queen-of-sheba
- Joan of Arc (1412–1431): a young visionary who became a symbol of courage and conviction. https://gardenofeven.com/pages/joan-of-arc
- Táhirih (c. 1810s–1852): a Persian poet, theologian and symbol of women's emancipation. https://gardenofeven.com/pages/tahirih
